PAIN of the first sort is physical PAIN. Some like PAIN, most do not. PAIN can be a warning. PAIN can be the result of an accident. PAIN is good when it is gone. PAIN can be soothed with drugs. PAIN that does not go away is often not soothed as it could be. PAIN can be caused by others. PAIN of the first sort can cause PAIN of the second sort.
PAIN of the second sort is in the mind. PAIN of this sort is mostly caused by other people. PAIN of the second sort lasts longer, maybe years or decades. PAIN of the second sort is worse.
Some of the stories are funny, some are sad and some are disturbing.
