Don't get me wrong! I don't hate animals.
I want to leave animals alone and I want animals to leave me alone. Don't put small animals in small cages and don't put big animals in big cages. Let animals live their own lives. They don't belong in boxes, whatever you call the boxes.
A bird that flies into the garden, eats something, and flies away, be it sparrow or magpie, is fine. Just don't put it in a cage! Do you want to own it?
But why, when a cat comes into a room with twenty cat-lovers and me does it walk straight to me and sit on my lap? And why, do I often wake and find a sleeping cat on me?
I try to leave animals alone. Why can't they leave me in peace?
