“Hello Captain! Quiet night tonight, isn’t it? Here on E‑deck.”

“It usually is at this time of night. Why aren't you two running around the top‑deck?”

“Oh no, can’t do that; ‘gainst health and safety, you know; don’t want the passengers falling overboard in the dark.”

“I see, I also see that you have done a good job with Agatha. She likes the new name that you have given her, she told me so.”

“She’s on the ship at least ten times in the year, doesn’t know what to do with herself. At last, somebody has had the courage, and I mean you Evelynn and Arthur, to tell her to dump her appalling husband and to enjoy life.”

“We do our best, Captain.”

“As Captain I make a point of visiting all the crew on a regular basis. You are popular with the crew and the passengers and particularly with Agatha. Carry on with the good work.”
