250 gm (1/2 lb) pork fillet,
    1 pinch salt,
    2 pinches nutmeg (ground),
    200 gm (1/2 lb) mushrooms,
    1 heaped teaspoon butter,
    4 shakes Worcester sauce,
200 gm (1/3 pint) cream (single cream),
100 gm (1/4 lb) noodles (precooked pasta or Spätzle),
    1 sprig dill (finely chopped)

Quick, tasty and impressive German pan recipe. Use a large pan with lid.

Wash the meat, dry, slice into medallions and rub in the salt and nutmeg. Wash and halve the mushrooms. Heat the butter in the pan and brown the meat. Remove the meat to one side.

Fry the mushrooms with the Worcester sauce in the same pan. Add the cream. Add the precooked noodles so that they are covered in liquid. Put the meat back on top. Cover the pan and simmer at a low heat for 15 minutes. Add finely chopped dill before serving.

Do not let the pan dry out during simmering – add water or milk as necessary to keep creamy.
