Silchester

As a kid my class was taken on a school day trip to Silchester, a wonderful Roman town we were told, so interesting.

That is the forum, where everybody met, discussed and decided.

I saw a grassy mound.

That is the amphitheatre, for plays, big events and entertainment.

I saw a duck pond.

Here is the wonderful exhibition of Roman artifacts.

I saw a shed full of pottery shards.
