one dessert apple per person (not Golden Delicious nor Pink Lady)
mixed ground spices (or ground cinnamon)
sweetener (or fine sugar)
An apple is vertical when the core is vertical with the stalk on top.
Core each apple. Peel each apple completely or leaving vertical stripes of skin.
Cut each apple into five to ten horizontal slices (rings).
Place the bottom slice on the serving plate and
add two drops of sweetener and a pinch of mixed spices.
Repeat with each slice until the apple is rebuilt.
